All I Ever Wanted to Be
Tonight, snug as bugs in a rug , Belinda and I lay in bed with Bella lying in between us in the hour or so before bedtime. It was in that sleepy time for us, that Bella snuggled up to her "big, strong" daddy as she calls me. Her little body up against mine, face staring at me and her arm draped across me. I guess she had been staring for some time when I hear, "Daddy, I love you sooooo much." Huge smile across her face. Not so much says it, as coos it. It was at that time that I was struck, really struck, as I have been many times before, I am a Daddy, and it's the best thing I have ever done and all I ever wanted to be.

mr. fabulous - Sometimes you look at yourself and say, "Hey I'm a macho guy. I raise horses, take care of a farm. Then you look at your little girl. You see your own eyes looking back at you. Your own big forehead. (Sorry Isabella) That true innocence and love and a life that is yours to mold. Yours to mold.... Wow. Dude, you've got to get one of these.
